OUR STORY

GCISD Parents was officially established in 2020 by 5 GCISD families concerned about our schools. Since that time, our membership has grown to over 1,000 local individuals with a shared passion for our district and community.

We recognize and respect the importance of the family unit, and firmly believe that parents should be the primary influencers on the values of their own children. To facilitate that, we've actively engaged with teachers and administrators since our inception, and will continue to do so into the foreseeable future.

Our diverse membership includes parents, teachers, community members, and GCISD employees from across the spectrum. As one, committed voice, we want to restore a culture of hope, courage, and joy within GCISD and eliminate fear of retaliation or cancellation from the mind of anyone in our community.

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to get a great education in a healthy learning environment, and it's our goal to make that happen.

OUR VISION

To create an optimistic environment within GCISD that fosters achievement and reflects community values.

oUR goAL

Our goal is to protect the innocence of our children, empower parents with knowledge, support professional teachers, and collaborate with administrators to improve the academic quality of our district.

oUR TOP ISSUES

  • Quality core education.
  • More teachers with better pay.
  • Financial and curriculum transparency.
  • Elimination of politics in the school.
